In order to consolidate the knowledge we had acquired through lessons in class, we went to Dingolfing for a factory tour of the BMW car works. Covering an area of about 2.45 million m², this plant is the largest factory of the BMW-Group. Equipped with earphones, protective goggles and a safety vest, the students and teachers (Ms Raab and Ms Siegert) were led through several manufacturing areas , e.g. the press-shop, body-shop, assembly line. We were given a clear idea and a realistic impression of industrial production operations and modern car manufacturing.
It’s quite possible for us to become trainees at this company!
